The Shibbydex has just been updated with some brand new features!
Without further ado, let’s get into some of the exciting features that have been tinkered and added that I genuinely think are awesome!
• New audio player with spirals and visualizer!
The Shibbydex is now using a fancy new audio player letting you switch between “Artwork”, “Spectrum” or “Spiral” modes. Building upon the update we made integrating artwork we wanted to keep the same super easy, simple functionality of the old player while adding some special new awesome features. The first of these is spirals and flashing text! You can now play any file with spirals of your choice, with the ability to tweak the spiral style, speed, color and of course text of your choosing. There are 15 preset spiral styles with embedded mantras to get you started that should cover almost every audio but you can always customize and save your own of course.
If spirals aren’t your thing though, the player also has a visualizer mode animating my sultry voice, very similar to the one used in the old Playlist page.
• Playlist overhaul
Speaking of playlists, since we’re using the new audio play across the entire site, we’ve gone ahead and added it into the playlist section too. This comes with the added benefit of ironing out a bunch of bugs that existed with the old system and allowing us to support haptics on playlist files seamlessly. Haptic devices will stay connected moving from one file to the next.
• iOS haptic and Lovense support added
I know this was promised to be turned on soon after the last update but we wanted to make sure we did it right. Our initial implementation fell short of our reliability standards. The upshot of that is that what we have now is even better than the previous system using Intiface. In short, you can now connect to haptics easier than ever before and on basically any device including iOS, iPhone, Mac, you name it.
Here is a quick little tutorial:
1) Make sure Lovense Remote and your toys are open and on
2) Navigate to Settings on Shibbydex (this is also where you can customize your spirals)
3) Click the Connect to Lovense Remote or Scan QR in Lovense Remote
4) Click the "Yes" popup to sync devices in Lovense Remove
5) Wait a couple of seconds for green light to show
6) All done! You can now navigate around the Shibbydex and every haptic enabled audio will automatically synchronize
• Triggers page reworked
I know one thing that has been asked about for a long time, by newcomers and veteran listeners alike, is the ability to search files by “installed” triggers. Being able to find where a trigger is first used and installed is so helpful for actually experiencing a file as it was intended. Well, you can now do that! We have gone through and painstakingly added and separated each file by “Installed” and “Reinforced” triggers.
• Newsletters
The Shibbydex can now send out newsletters so you won’t miss your favorite new file releases, announcements or opportunities to listen into live recordings. I know newsletters can be a divisive topic though, I don’t want them all to go immediately into spam or be turned off immediately. Don't worry they are set off by default so you won't get flashbanged out the blue by anything NSFW in your mailbox. I want to strike the right balance of letting you know what’s going on but at the same time not feeling like you’re swamped.
