Shibbydex 3.0

Hey everyone,

I'm excited to announce the latest version of Shibbydex is now live. An whole load lot of work on the backend of things has gone on to make this happen, making it far easier to push out some more upcoming features and improvements we have planned too.

Added features:
• Cover art is here to stay!
I've wanted to put far more of a focus on cover art in recent times and thanks to the beautiful work of GodfreySmash all new files have pretty artwork to go along with them. The site wasn't previously designed with that in mind so we have rebuilt it to fully support art going forward and hopefully one day every file will have visuals to go along with them.
• Redesigned file player page
The file player page was starting to get a bit ridiculous with the amount of scrolling involved, even for my standards. The new design is split in two, we've condensed a bunch of surplus fields and generally streamlined the whole page for a better viewing and more importantly, listening experience.
• Updated file searching
Say goodbye to the dedicated Search page and welcome the new and improved way of searching directly in the file list page itself through the Filter button. We've gone ahead and added extra search criteria you've all been asking to see too like Tone, Effect, Genitalia, Orgasm etc. All in all it should be a far smoother experience to find precisely the files you're looking for.
• Expanded gender fields
The genitalia field has been properly added and again, this is something I've wanted to fully integrate into my files for a long time now. It should be far easier to track what gender and explicit body parts are mentioned in every file. We are still going through the process of updating older files but we even have a dedicated minion on the team now to minimise any instances of bumping into unwanted misgendering or dysphoria.
• Gifted and cancelled subscriptions
The Shibbydex can now support gifted Patreon subscriptions, which is great for people who have limited access to applicable payment methods in certain countries. We've also made significant improvements to the Patreon API so that even if you cancel your Patreon sub for whatever reason, you'll still keep access to your unlocked files until your subscription officially runs out.
• Lovense app and iOS support
Technically we have not enabled the button but we have everything ready in the background to finally support the iOS and the Lovense App itself! This means you'll have a method for synchronizing with all your Apple devices, iOS etc. It also means there is an alternative synchronizing method if you want to bypass Intiface for connecting too. Also, if you feel like getting a quick fix I'll have a few sample audios on the Lovense App.
• Role support added
Again, this might not be something that is overtly apparent for day to day use but we have added a fully fledged role system to Shibbydex. This means we have far more scope for cool things we can do to personalize your experience ranging from moderation of upcoming comments section through to letting people experience integrated haptics for commissions etc.
• Additional bug fixes
We have gone through the whole site and fixed a myriad of longstanding issues and bugs. Trust me, I've found them just as frustrating as I'm sure many of you have too but these things can take an annoyingly long time to find proper solutions. Some of the highlights include fixes to the audience field results, runtime issue, haptics downloading, duplicate variants showing in search results and updated video embedding. And many more.

Upcoming improvements:
• Comments section
Yep, you will very soon be able to comment on files! Honestly, reading feedback and experiences from my files one of my favorite things about creating. Reddit and Discord are great for that, so I want the Shibbydex to be somewhere I can browse and hear all your delicious comments on too. The feature is already fully built, we are just making sure our site security is iron clad. Don't worry, this is a feature you can toggle on/off so it won't distract away from the files themselves if you don't want them to.
• E-stim support
I know a lot of you have been eagerly awaiting this too since I last teased it. Once again, the feature is built, we are just in the process of actually importing it into the Shibbydex itself. Please keep in mind though that we are handling E-stim with a lot of care and due diligence compared to regular haptics by comparison, so quite a lot of internal testing is required.
• New audio player
This is going to be a really fun one once we have it live on the site. I can't reveal too much about what we have planned right now, but it is safe to say it should be really fun and a lot more ambitious than a pretty bar across the bottom of the screen.
• Newsletters
It can be quite hard to keep track of all the different platforms like Patreon, Discord., Reddit, Bluesky. For those of you that would like to opt-in, there is going to be a newsletter where you'll get notified of new releases, or general announcements. This is not going to be mandatory though, and you'll be able to turn them on/off in your profile on the Shibbydex.
• Extra special secret project
Last but not least, I am working behind the scenes on a very special, ambitious and extremely exciting collaboration project that will completely change the scope of the Shibbydex, bringing more content and new ways in which to enjoy the world of Shibby than I ever thought possible. So stay tuned!

As usual with these types of updates, the team have done their best to search out as many pesky bugs and issues as they can do internally but once thousands of you are unleashed on it you're bound to find something they haven't.
