Well you know me... I really have a soft spot for the villains don't I... It is just something about their psychology that speaks to me. There is nothing better then having your prey bound, helpless, and at your mercy, as you whisper your dastardly plans. But unfortunately, that's usually the point at which the hero uses some bullshit gadget to escape which totally breaks the immersion. When everyone knows that really, the villain should defeat them once and for all.
